Adv. Beginning Weaving: Plan a Project
Take your Rigid Heddle weaving to the next level and learn to plan and execute a project of your own design! You can design a bag, a runner, a set of placemats - whatever you want! This class will expand on the skills and techniques learned in the Intro Weaving Class. We will discuss different setts and how to choose the best yarn and sett for your project. You will learn to plan out the sizes and calculate yardages of yarn needed as well as plan out the warp and weft sequences.
Pre-requisites: Intro to Rigid Heddle Weaving class or completed at least one project on a rigid heddle loom from start to finish.
Come prepared with lots of yarn and project ideas - the more, the merrier!
